Slow week around here. It's been raining for what feels like forever. But we are getting some gorgeous flowers as a result. Check out this trio of lilies.

I decided to spiff up my mis-matched ugly plastic plant pots this weekend. A couple bottles of spray paint is all it took. Once (if?) we move to the condo, I'll figure out how much sunlight the lanai and landing get and choose some plants accordingly.





Big surprise, I chose black and blue for the pots. And yes, this concrete slab serves as my workspace. Just wish there was a little (read: any) shade!

Not many pics this week. We headed up to check out the condo.

You know that famous quote about the only certain things in life being death and taxes? Well, I'd like to add laundry to that list. This weekend we did our taxes and our laundry, and neither was particularly fun. Not even with Frank's help. (Frank is my bear. He looks quite dapper wearing Sean's cap, doesn't he?)





Oh, and I also sewed on a few buttons that had fallen off sometime in the past year or so. Thrilling weekend, right?

week fourteen

Back in VA this weekend to hang with the family. It just so happened that the cherry blossoms were in full bloom this weekend, so we went into DC to have lunch with Dad and see the cherry blossoms! I took a ton of pics (although I kept running out of storage space on my memory card and forgot to bring extras -- note to self: buy bigger memory cards!) and about half of them were pretty good, I thought. I have them all in my Flickr collection but will only post a few here. The full Flickr set is here, if you'd like to see them all.

Spring is peeking out here in NYC, and I just can't resist taking pics of flowers.











I bought a flower bunch for the house this week too; I think they were sweet peas? They smelled so pretty!





Finally, I am not sure what kind of seeds these people planted, but WHOA!

week twelve

It seems I have fallen a few weeks behind in my posting! Oops! I have been taking pics though, so no worries. Week twelve I took Zoebean to the vet. She had a strange growth/owie on her right elbow that was concerning me. The vet gave us some antibiotics for Zoe to take for the next few days. She also suggested we put a tshirt on Zoe to help cover the elbow so it wouldn't get irritated. (The elbow is very difficult to bandage; the bandages pretty much just fall off.) So I took a pair of scissors to one of Sean's old tshirts to modify it for Zoe. It sort of looks like a bolero jacket. Marisa suggested we call this BOLERO BEANS! I thought it turned out pretty cute but Zoe wasn't a big fan. So in the end we didn't make her wear it too often.

week eleven

Headed down to VA and WV for a long weekend to visit the fam, get my bridesmaid dress altered, and go to Jaime's bridal shower. Of course, my camera batteries crapped out right before the shower, so I didn't get any pics there. *sigh* So all I have is a couple random shots of the dress fitting and a purty fleur outside the Oakton post office. Enjoy!
