July mosaic

I can't believe it's been almost a whole year! I forgot to take pics TWICE this month, for the first time since starting the project. But I will keep on! I hope to make it through the end of 2008, and then decide whether/how to continue. Starting next month (August 2008), I might be switching to a brand new blog! Stay tuned for the link.

The new dining room curtains. This swirly vine motif goes great with the fabric on the dining chairs I redid!

This week's flowers were tiny teacup roses. So pretty! But they didn't last long, as you'll see in future posts! Oh well. Also, apparently I like pink flowers a whole lot.

I went to Ikea today looking for a few items to jazz up my living room. This lampshade was one of my purchases. I also got some throw pillows and curtains for both the living room and the dining room. I am digging the pattern!!

Sean's mom made this blankie for him a loooooong time ago. I think it is still his favorite. It's super comfy and well-loved.

I made some southwest slaw for dinner tonight. Nice and colorful. All those fresh veggies were delish!

These sculptures were hanging out at the edge of the stage at a show we went to tonight in Red Hook. Very charismatic.

Love the color of these flowers! It's so vibrant. Having fresh flowers around feels so indulgent. I should do this every week.

Yep yep it's my berfday! Go me! Get busy! we went out to dinner to celebrate so I got all dolled up, including these strappy black stilettos and silvery chain earrings.

July 18: not again?!

Believe it or not, I forgot to take a pic AGAIN today! I go 11 months straight (with some close calls, but photos every day nonetheless) then forget twice in one week. Sheesh! Anyway. I will blame my negligence on the EXCELLENT massage I got for my birthday. I was so relaxed I forgot to take any pics! The massage and facial were a gift from Sean!

That lurid pink fabric is our laundry bag! It's so gaudy. The puff ball flew in through our skylight this afternoon and landed there. I thought it looked cool so I snapped a pic.

Zoe's teensy front teeth make me laugh. I like to yell "TEEFIES!" at her, then lift up the sides of her muzzle in a faux snarl to show off the grill. What's the point of life if you don't exploit your pets for cheap laughs?!
