September 28: graffiti
I call this one "ohyeahrobomouse".
I have a runner-up pic for today as well: click. I didn't pick it because I posted a similar photo earlier this month, but I really like it.

September 26: papers
Freebie papers. I believe there are 10 dispensers on this corner. This pic is part of my series for a photo scavenger hunt I saw in the NYT. See the whole story here.

Ponytail holders
I spiffed up these ponytail holders this afternoon. These are two different projects. The ones on the right are all made from buttons you cover (instructions here), and the one on the left is beaded (instructions here). I love the button ones!
I dig the beaded one too, but I'm worried that the wire on it will pull my hair, so we'll see. (Sorry, these pics are a tad blurry.)
Brooklyn sights
September 15: flowers
It was really hard to pick one photo for this day. We went to the Brooklyn Botanic Garden with my parents (more on that here) and I had some great photos. But I finally chose this one. Here is the first runner-up.
Another bracelet
I like my crochet bracelet so much that I decided to make one for my mom. Now that I've given it to her, here's a pic!

Delivery guys
Some time ago, I ranted about UPS not delivering my packages. Well, now it's time to rant about Fedex. Their jerk delivery guy brought two boxes for our landlords, who live downstairs, and left them at our door. That is fine. But somehow in the process, the idiot apparently managed to knock over one of my potted hibiscus plants, and didn't even bother to pick it up, let alone clean up all the dirt that spilled out.
So this is what I came home to:
That's one plant turned over on top of the other. *&^%$#@!
Update: This morning Sean found the pot knocked over again, so he says it was probably the wind and not the Fedex guy. So, fine, I guess Fedex is off the hook for now. Hrmph.

September 11: panties
In Brooklyn, it is not uncommon to see articles of clothing hanging from people's fences. These are usually items that people are giving away or items that someone found on the sidewalk in the front of the house and assumed to be misplaced by the people who live there (think gloves in the wintertime).
Notwithstanding all that, these little panties are just weird.
P.S. I wish I had turned off the flash for this picture. But there were people around, and I didn't want them to think I am some perv who goes around taking pictures of little girls' panties.
