race report: gridiron classic

the gridiron classic is a 4-mile race in central park that NYRR holds on superbowl sunday each year. this was my third time running it. in 2011 i finished in 35:05, last year was 32:12. this year i was just 19 seconds slower at 32:31. i had to stop and re-tie my shoelaces after one came undone just before the mile 3 marker, but i don't think i would have bettered last year's time anyway.

this is always a fun run despite the cold. this year it was about 25 degrees with light snow falling. luckily the snow was powdery and it didn't get too slippery.
