February 13: patriotism

I took pics of this flag last Saturday but deleted them before I downloaded them off my camera. (See here.) So I went back today to get some shots. Sad to say, these flags adorn my local post office. Shameful.

    Even sadder that its not a once in awhile, "oh-the-wind-is-extra-gusty-today" thing. It appears that this is the flags' permanent display.

    That's entirely correct -- the flags are always like this. It probably happened one particularly gusty day and nobody ever fixed them.
