so worth it.
here's the recipe, since i can't find it online:
preheat over to 375. line baking sheets with parchment (i used silicone baking mats). in a large bowl, stir together 1/2 c. extra virgin olive oil, 1 stick melted butter, 1 tsp. orange zest (i used way more), 3/4 c. dark brown sugar and 3/4 c. sugar. beat with wooden spoon until well combined. stir in 2 eggs and 3/4 tsp. vanilla extract. in a medium bowl, whisk together 2 1/4 c. flour, 3/4 tsp. baking soda and 1/2 tsp. fine sea salt. stir dry ingredients into olive oil mixture, then stir in 10 oz. chocolate chips (i used mini's). place heaping tablespoons of dough onto cookie sheets, spacing about 3 in. apart. bake til cookies are set, about 10 min., rotating sheets halfway through. remove from oven, let cool 2 min., then transfer to wire rack to cool completely.
