I don't love the final result of this pic but I am posting it anyway. It's just a few days before 9/11, and they have brought back the towers of light to commemorate the twin towers of the World Trade Center. This is the view from our roof. You can clearly see the pool of light created when the beams hit the clouds, and if you look closely, you can see the beams themselves.
I don't think I realized that the Towers of Light were only a sometimes thing. I thought they were lit every night.

They really only light them around 9/11. That night must have a practice run, because I haven't seen them since.
