This might be the most ragged flag I've ever seen. And I have no idea why it is not flying at the top of the staff. You might think it's for Columbus Day, but it was also flying this way yesterday evening. We have the NYC Parks department to thank for this one. Very sad.
That *is* sad...but great fodder for an artistic picture!
ReplyDeleteI can't believe they would continue to fly that thing! Maybe its being at half (three-quarter?) staff was an attempt to mourn its existance.
